A.1) Lead Planner/Scheduler, SunPower Inc., NJ  (October2011 –till Now)

Working as Lead Planner for Solar Power of commercial projects in East Coat . 

The scope of work

1.                      Develop the baseline schedule for EPC projects.

2.                      Resource Loading the baseline schedule with different resources, by using the resources in Oracle and in import it in P6  .

3.                      Update the schedules on weekly bases and doing correction action for any delays.

4.                      Develop the weekly reports for updating schedule, like Critical Path Analysis, Three week Look-Ahead, and the Cost forecast projections for coming work periods.

 

A.2) Lead Planner/Scheduler, Overseas Bechtel INC. (OBI) – New Doha, Qatar International Air Port  (October2010 –July2011)

Working as Lead Planner for Utilities.  Including four main drop down Substations that distributes power to distribution substations located in the air port facilities, water tanks, pump station, waste water treatment plant. The project Budget $15B.

The scope of work

1.                      Assure the quality of the work developed by the contractors.

2.                      Develop the monthly reports including Master Summery Schedule, Earned Value analysis for the Client and Top Managerial Level.

3.                      Calculating the Extension of Time and the compensable of time for any potential change order.

4.                      Reviewing/approving the contractors’ schedules conforming to the project specifications.

Working as a project control consultant through Catalyst Contractors for VA (U.S Department of Veterans Affairs) contractors for two projects, VA Clinic in FL of Budget 52MM and VA Cemetery project in NY of Budget 32MM.

The scope of work

1.    Developing the Baseline schedule (for its EPC phases), including the WBS , the project coding system, the resource loading and the Network Diagrams per the VA specifications.

2.    Having the Approval of the Baseline schedule from of VA Resident Engineer and VA Schedule Analysis Consultant.

3.    Updating the schedule monthly and developing the required reports, like Earned Value report, Project Look ahead report, Hot Activity Report, Total Float report, and Narrative report and Network Diagram Report (the latest every 3 months).

4.    Studying the impact of Change Orders on project end date for claiming by time extension and finical compensation if there is a negative impact.

 

A.4) Lead Scheduler/Planner, BE&K – a KBR Company (Newark, DE, USA) - (November 2006 - December 2008):

BE&K is an American based company (www.BEk.com) working in industrial, power, and commercial projects including the three phases (EPC – Engineering, Procurement & Construction)

The scope of work is Planning & Scheduling the following:

1.       FEL phase (Front end Engineering Loading).

2.       Design phase activities including its three disciplines CSA, M/P and E&I.

3.       Procurement phase based on project procurement plane.

4.       Field contract phase according to the procurement plane.

5.       Construction phase including its three divisions CSA, M/P and E&I and the installation of the equipments/machines delivered by different vendors.

6.       Commissioning and Operating phase.

7.       Validating the schedule from the client and the project team.

8.       Reporting the project progress, including Earned Value Analysis reports

 

The previously mentioned items were applied for DuPont company projects at Spruance plant, Virginia, (Tyvek, Nomex, Kevlar) with a budget up to $75MM , the tasks assigned to BE&K are implementing, upgrading, and replacing the plant production lines. The number of activities of schedules of these projects ranged from 400 to 6000, in addition to allocating the required resources to each activity.

A.5) Manager of Scheduling department of Ginza for Construction Company, IGI Group Company (July 2000 till March 2001):

Ginza for Construction has annual revenue of EGP 100MM, it is specialized in construction of Commercial, infrastructure and industrial projects.

The scope of the work is managing the following items:

1.    Planning and scheduling projects by using CPM and Primavera software.

2.    Planning and scheduling the projects in their different phases including: engineering, procurement, construction, and hand over.

3.    Performing periodic reports, comparing the actual progress of the project with the target plan, and highlighting the activities that are draining contingency and delaying the progress.

4.    Calculating any delay caused by the client, and calculating its financial effect on the project.

A.6) Lead Project Controls, Jet Construction (October 1993 – July 2000):

Jet Construction has annual revenue of EGP 70 MM.

The scope of the work is managing the following items:

1.    Planning and scheduling projects at different stages and phases.

2.    Allocating the resources of different items, and controlling the variance during the execution of the project.

3.    Controlling and following up the progress of projects compared with the target schedule.

4.    Reporting the progress, and alerting management to the critical items.

5.    Controlling the direct cost of different construction items.

6.    Performing a cost estimate breakdown for change orders and claims using the CPM technique to identify time extension due to extra work or change orders.

7.    Generating the monthly invoices for the projects.

8.    Identifying the project requirements of different resources at different stages of execution.

 

B) Project Manager and Project Engineer:

B.1)Project Manager/Program Manager, Intours – IGI (March 2001 – August 2006):

PM for International Company for Tourist Development Projects- (http://www.igi.com.eg/Intours.htm) (Intours, an IGI Group Company, Cairo, Egypt) which owns Real Estate development projects at a Cairo suburb (the budget of the project circa EGP 700 MM).

The scope of work is managing the following:

1.    Serving as the senior site representative in all matters related to management of construction that I can control time, cost, and quality efficiently.

2.   Coordinating the work of all site operations.

3.   Developing and implementing contract administration, policies, and procedures.

4.   Reviewing contractor's pay requests, and issuing payment certificates.

5.   Receiving and responding to all Requests for Information (RFI's) from the contractors and site offices, and directing them to qualified staff and/or designers for action.

6.   Assisting in reviewing contractors' change order proposals, preparing recommendations to client’s senior personnel for change order approval, if warranted, in conjunction with the designated contract manager, and assisting in negotiations with contractors regarding changes in contract value or project duration.

7.   Reviewing contractor's claims, preparing recommendations to Steering Committee for claims approval, and negotiating claims with contractors regarding schedules.

8.   Monitoring the contractors' progress, preparing progress reports on a monthly basis, presiding at weekly and monthly reviews and other progress meetings held at the site, reviewing the contractors' progress of the work, helping resolve deficiencies, and preparing and obtaining approval of minutes of meetings.

9.   Participating in the final inspection of the work, reviewing the adequacy and accuracy of punch lists, monitoring final completion of the work, and recommending acceptance of completed work to Steering Committee.

 

B.2)Twelve years as a Construction Manager and an executive and cost estimator engineer (1981- 1993):

a) Four years as a construction manager for infrastructure of the new Cairo whole market (100 acres) for Industrial & Eng. Enterprises, Egypt
